Kalamazoo, Mich. — Gordon Fortier passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, after a long illness. He was 67. Gordon was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Lebanon and grew up in Hartford.He had been residing in Kalamazoo before his death.
He graduated from Hartford High in 1963. He joined the Air Force after graduation and became an Intelligence Specialist and received a commendation after serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie of Radford, Va.; three sons, Jason of Kalamazoo, Mich., Kirk of Oregon, Ohio and Zach of Sandusky, Ohio; and one daughter,
Brooke of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and three grandchildren.� He is also survived by his mother Margaret Fortier of White River Jct., Vt.; and two sisters, Patricia Johnston of Chuckey, Tenn. and Barbara LaBounty of North Fort Meyers, Fla.� He also left many nieces and nephews and an Aunt, Virginia Kelly of Lebanon.
Gordon was a lifelong fan of Baseball. He played through High School and was a fan of the New York Yankees.
Funeral services were in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Dec. 18, 2012.
