Debra Lee Roman

Enfield, N.H. — Heaven has a new angel.

Debra Lee Roman, 56, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Lebanon, N.H. on Nov. 24, 1956, and lived in the area for most of her life.

Debbie was best know in the community for her kind and gentle spirit and warm and friendly smile. She was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her volunteer work for the Lebanon Recreation & Parks Department once earned her the 2007 Volunteer of the Year Award. Debbie also did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels. She also worked for the Sheraton and Four Corners Children’s Center in Hartland, Vt.

Her favorite things to do were to go to local stores and restaurants to have coffee and visit with friends, eating fried clams, going for rides, dancing and listening to music.

Debbie is survived by her father, Frank W. Roman Jr. of West Canaan, N.H.; her siblings, Roxanne Rice of WRJ, Vt., Kevin Jenks of Glens Falls, N.Y., Roderick Jenks of Wilder, Vt. and Cindy Jenks-Cedrone of Lebanon. She also leaves behind nieces and great nephews, as well as her extended family of Pathways.

She was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Jenks; and step-father, Sherm Jenks; and her nephew, Derrick Jenks.

The family would like to give special thanks to all the caregivers at Pathways for their love and care shown to Debbie throughout her life. She was truly blessed to have such a wonderful extended family.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Enfield United Methodist Church Rt 4 Enfield, N.H.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society.
