Letter: Murder Is Murder, Period

To the Editor:

In Dawn Griffis’ letter to the Forum, “Before Abortions Were Legal,” I notice she never once asked what she thought Jesus thinks of abortions. Well, let me explain something here: When a woman’s egg is fertilized with a sperm, that conjunction occurs only by the will of God. That is now a living child of God, and when it is aborted, you have murdered a child of God.

Since the Roe v. Wade decision, more than 48 million babies have been murdered this way. Think of those numbers. Many of these murdered babies would now be adults — and paying taxes. And you wonder why Social Security is going broke. If there is a lick of sense to be made about killing unborn babies, it’s this: Every one of those aborted babies has been adopted by their heavenly father, God.

The Sixth Commandment says, “Thou shalt not kill.” Murder is murder, any way you look at it, and aborting babies who cannot defend themselves is still murder. And that, Ms. Griffis, is what’s really frightening. Those who practice this abominable behavior or condone it, will answer for their actions on judgment day. You can rest assured of that.
