Hartland

Though retired from hunting, Don Colburn of Windsor still regularly visits the Hartland Cove Shooting Range in Hartland, Vt., to practice using his black powder pistols, including his 36 caliber Remington, a replica of a Civil War era firearm. Colburn enjoys shooting black powder guns for several reasons- "they're fun, cheaper, and just as accurate (as modern guns)," Colburn said, "though they're a lot of work to reload."
