Windsor — Cindy Ladue’s battle with lung cancer left her so weak that mustering the strength just to leave the house proved a challenge during the last few months of her life. Still, Shannon Harrington wasn’t surprised to find Ladue at her front door with a plate of home-cooked food one day in June. Harrington, a close friend of Ladue’s since their Windsor High School days, had just lost her 87-year-old mother.
