Perley Charles Woodward

White River Junction, Vt. — Perley Charles Woodward, 90, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at the Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community in Windsor, Vt. He was born as April 23, 1923, to Myrle A. Mattoon Woodward and Perley Leroy Woodward. Perley married Wanetta Chadwick on Halloween night 1954. She predeceased him in 1995. He served in the Army during WWII and is a life member of the American Legion and the Hartford Elks Club. Perley worked for the Tip Top Bakery as a mechanic for 20 years and worked another 21 years for the Vermont Transit Bus company.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Elizabeth Preston of Phoenix, Ariz., Dixie Stickney of White River Jct., and Marjorie Armstrong of West Lebanon, N.H. He leaves one remaining sister, Christine Jenkins of West Lebanon along with numerous nieces and nephews.
