North Haverhill Woman Injured in Interstate 89 Crash
Hartford — A North Haverhill woman was injured Monday after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 that occurred after one of the operators became distracted by nearby construction, police said.
Jessica Blaisdell, 29, was in stable condition at Dartmouth-Hithcock Medical Center last night. Vermont State Police did not know the extent of her injuries. Blaisdell and Clayton Luce, 49, of White River Junction, were driving north on I-89 around 4:45 p.m. Monday and had just crossed from New Hampshire to Vermont when Luce’s GMC Sierra hit Blaisdell’s Ford Escape, police said. Police said Luce was looking at construction in the southbound lane when Blaisdell slowed almost to a stop. Luce then hit Blaisdell’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and both vehicles sustained significant damage.
The crash remains under investigation. — Staff report
