Former Hartford Selectman Faces DUI Charge
Hartford — The former Hartford Selectboard member who pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge in January is in trouble with the law again.
Reginald Tatro, 63, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence around 1 a.m. Thursday on Sykes Mountain Ave. in White River Junction, the Hartford Police Department said. He is set to appear in Windsor court next week to answer to the charge.
Tatro was already facing a misdemeanor marijuana charge in Windsor Superior Court after police allegedly found marijuana while executing a search warrant at his home. And in January, Tatro was sentenced to one year on probation to resolve a charge of having a package of hydrocodone mailed to him in November 2010.
His attorney in the federal case said that Tatro had been driven to crime because of his addiction, but had subsequently successfully spent two years in a drug treatment program.
