Wedding: Schaefer-Spritz — Scheller

Hanover — Sierra Schaefer-Spritz and Russ Douglas Scheller were married on Aug. 23, 2013.

The wedding took place in the early evening on Winships Hill in Fairlee, overlooking Lake Morey and the mountains beyond. The bride was escorted by her parents in a ceremony that was presided over by Barnes Boffey.

The bride was attended by her sister, Cecily Schaefer-Spritz. The bridegroom was attended by his sister, Jennifer Shorette

The couple’s Bernese mountain dog, Baxter, was led down the aisle by the flower girl, Alexandra Shorette, the bridegroom’s niece.

The bridegroom’s nephew, Austin Shorette, was the ring bearer. He carried a blackboard reading “Uncle Rusty, here comes your girl.”

Following the ceremony, a dinner was held at Ariana’s Restaurant in Orford. The next day, a wedding party was held in front of the director’s cabin at Camp Lanakila in Fairlee.

The bride is the daughter of Kate Baily Schaefer, of West Lebanon, and Kenneth Paul Spritz, of Norwood, Mass. She graduated from Hanover High School in 1998 and earned a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies and business from Skidmore College in 2002. She received a master’s degree in child life from Wheelock College in Boston in 2007 and is employed as a certified child life specialist at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington.

The bridegroom is the son of Ilse Belle Mercier, of Livermore Falls, Maine, and Craig Eugene Scheller, of Wentworth, N.H. He graduated from Plymouth Regional High School in 2000 and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2006. He is employed as a supply chain planner for Seventh Generation Corp. in Burlington.

The couple plan to honeymoon in Hawaii. They make their home in Burlington.
