David Lyle Coutermarsh, Sr.
Lebanon, N.H. — David Lyle Coutermarsh, Sr., 71, died at Hanover Terrace Healthcare on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. He was born in Hanover on Dec. 4, 1941, to Lawrence Coutermarsh and Vivian Willmont. David grew up in Lyme and moved to Lebanon at the age of five. He graduated from Lebanon schools and married Carol Frost on May 25, 1963. During his working career he logged with his brother Ralph, worked at the Lebanon woolen Mills, drove truck for Peanie Goodwin and John O’Brien, and then began his own logging business.
He enjoyed deer, rabbit and coon hunting, flower gardening, home projects, renovations and wood working. He was known to be a good dancer. David was raised by Vivian and Larry Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Coutermarsh; a daughter, Tammy Coutermarsh; and a brother, Leroy Coutermarsh; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David Jr. and three brothers.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon. Arrangements are by Ricker Funeral Homes & Crematory of Lebanon.
