Kendal at Hanover Staff Collect Pet Supplies for Upper Valley Humane Society

Kendal at Hanover staff members Sherry Butler, left, Diana Guadette, center, and Diane Usle, right, spent the month of November collecting pet supplies for the Upper Valley Humane Society. On Nov. 29, they presented the results of their efforts to Deborah Turcott, far right, executive director of UVHS. In addition to collecting everything from pet food to tennis balls to sheets and towels and blankets, the three women also arranged two bus trips to the humane society facilities in Enfield, allowing staff members and residents of Kendal to learn more about the nonprofit organization’s programs. With more than 200 animals currently housed at the shelter, Turcott said, the Kendal supply drive was “extremely meaningful” to UVHS. “You can imagine how many bags of dog food or cat litter we go through in a day,” Turcott said. “Every time somebody donates something, it saves us from diverting funds from the direct care of the animals.” For additional information about UVHS, visit Photograph courtesy of Jesse Cloutier
