Elizabeth “Bettina” Ferguson
Hanover, N.H. — Elizabeth “Bettina” Ferguson, passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 9, 2014, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital, due to complications from pneumonia. She was 87.
Bettina was born and raised in Staten Island, N.Y., where she was the third of five children for Dominic and Helen Rich. She was drawn to the natural beauty and cultural attractions of the Upper Valley later in the decade, and settled in Hanover in 1990, where she has lived for the last 24 years.
Her family would especially like to thank Martha Burton, Bettina’s care giver for the last 17 years. In addition, her niece, Lauri Rich, of Lyme, served as a constant source of companionship.
She will be sorely missed by her three surviving children; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Bettina will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15th, at 11 a.m., at The Church of the Good Shepherd, in Waban, Mass.
