Grantham, n.h. — Joyce McWethy Kostuck passed away at home in Grantham on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at the age of 91. Music is the thread that ran throughout and defined major aspects of Joyce’s life. By high school, she was performing and teaching piano, as well as playing percussion in her high school band. In 1939, Joyce was introduced to the marimba, receiving one designed by Clair Musser, her teacher and a pioneer in the field. Joyce and sister Jean became a marimba duo called the Marimba Macs, traveling and playing throughout the upper Midwest while studying at Northwestern University. They also had the distinction of playing marimba at Carnegie Hall in New York …
