Grantham, n.h. — Caren D. Calafati, 61, of Eastman, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014. She was born in Northport, N.Y., to the late Alan and Dixie (Mason) Calafati. Caren grew up and went to schools in Northport and received her masters from Dartmouth. She met and married Jack Showerman and began their family. One of Caren’s greatest accomplishment’s was the development of Through The Oprah Glass and its success. She was a well-known artist, musician and teacher. She was very proud of her students for their accomplishments. She is survived by her two sons, Derek Showerman and Alex Showerman; her longtime companion, David Wright; her former husband; siblings, Dale, Laurie, Jill and Glenn; nieces, …
