Barry Philip Rogers

Grantham, N.H. — Barry Philip Rogers died peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at the home of his caregiver in Grantham, N.H. Barry was born on February 18, 1954, and grew up in Cornish Flat, N.H. He resided at the Laconia State School and later at the Charlestown Group Home in Charlestown, N.H. Most recently, he made his home in Grantham. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Margaret (Hoisington) Rogers, of Cornish, N.H.; brothers, Russell, of Lebanon, N.H., Bruce, of Plainfield, N.H.; sister, Julie (Ackley) Hatley, of Monroe, N.H.; his nieces and nephews; and his loving caregiver family, Gorgi Kayiales, Artie and Jim. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 29th, at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, N.H., with the Rev. Alice Roberts, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Newport, N.H., officiating. Committal Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Edminster Cemetery in Cornish, N.H. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
