Robin Lee Adams
Enfield, N.H. — Robin Lee Adams; mother, wife, sister, daughter, niece, aunt, RN, friend, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013.
Robin was born at APD in Lebanon, N.H. on July 15, 1963 to Janet and John Ford. She grew up in Dover, N.H. with her brother Randy and graduated from High School in Cheshire, Conn. She went on to college at UNH earning a BS in environmental studies.
Robin met her husband Tom while they were both working at Lander’s Restaurant in 1986. The two were married on June 11, 1988. They built a house in Enfield in 1990, where she currently resided. There they raised Tom’s first two children, Ben and Jill, which she did with much love and devotion. On Dec. 7, 1992, she gave birth to their only son, Patrick Henry Adams. Robin’s best calling by far was being a mom. The highlight of her life was raising Patrick with Tom.
Continuing to pursue their dream in the restaurant business, in 1996, they bought Peter Christian’s Tavern in Hanover and turned it into their own family pub, Patrick Henry’s. In 2001, they went to Grantham to run The Grillroom at Eastman. Robin loved cooking, it was something she did with passion until the end. Leaving Eastman in 2005, she went to work at DHMC as an LNA. She went back to school, while working full-time to earn her RN degree. Robin gave nursing her all, providing her patients the best care and comfort possible.
Robin loved to walk the Collette Trail with her two dogs and best friends; Oddie and Cowboy. Animals were another passion Robin had. She had a deep concern and love for all animals, eager to take care of any creature. She enjoyed nature, especially kayaking and boating on Grafton Pond and Crystal Lake. Robin was one of the sweetest, loving, and caring people you could ever meet. Her love touched anyone who was blessed to spend time with her. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends as she joins her mother and father in Heaven. Robin will always be in our hearts and never be forgotten.
Robin was predeceased by her mother and father, John and Janet Ford. She is survived by her husband Tom; her children, Patrick and Sarah, Ben and Annessa, Jill and Corey; her brother, Randy and sister-in-law, Anna; her aunt and very special friend, Rachie; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
