Ann Marie Thibodeau
Enfield, N.H. — Ann Marie Thibodeau, 69, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
She was born May 25, 1943, in Scranton, Pa. a daughter of the late Ralph and Hellen (Kachinsky) Powell, and moved to Middletown, Conn. when she was 11. Ann Marie went on to graduate from Portland High School in 1961, where as a freshman she met her future husband David Thibodeau and the two were married on Sept. 16, 1961, in Port Chester, N.Y. Ann Marie followed David to his different stations during his time in the military and after his discharge they returned to Middletown where they started their family and she was a stay at home mom. In 1965, the family moved to Portland, Conn. until moving to Enfield in 1970, where she has lived since. Once her children were all in school, Ann Marie went to work at Kmart in 1983 as a department manager until she retired in 2000. She then worked at Lebanon Pharmacy until 2003.
Ann Marie enjoyed spending time with her dogs, feeding the birds, looking at the pond from her home, watching cooking shows and traveling with her husband in their motorhome. Together the two traveled up and down the East Coast and since 1995 had spent every April and October in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Her greatest joy came in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three brothers John, Tommy and Ronnie Gibbons.
Ann Marie is survived by her husband, David of Enfield; three daughters, Coreen Marie Macie of Enfield, Lori Ann O’Dougherty of Canaan, N.H. and Autumn Beth Thibodeau of Claremont, N.H.; a son, Jonathan David Thibodeau of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Amber, Patrick, Jerrid, Kelly, Sage and Ashlynn; four great-grandchildren, Kimberlee, Kieira, Malakai and Alaynah; a brother, Gerry Gibbons of Wilder, Vt. and an aunt, Martha Laporta of Middletown, Conn.
Family and friends may call at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. Messages of sympathy can be left for the family at www.rickerfuneralhome.com.
