Dorothy “Dottie” Marie (Barton) Beauregard

Enfield, N.H. — Dorothy “Dottie” Marie (Barton) Beauregard, adored wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, died on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Enfield in her home on Crystal Lake surrounded by her family. She was 73.

Dorothy was born on Dec. 1, 1940, in Woburn, Mass. to Anna Marie (Gaudet) Barton and Albert Earnest Barton.

Dorothy and Richard were married on July 25, 1964, in Pelham, N.H. and made their home in Hudson, N.H., where they resided and raised their family for 40 years.

Dorothy proudly prepared and served school children nutritious lunches containing the most important ingredient of love for over 30 years before retiring in 2002.

In 1979, Dorothy and Richard purchased a small summer cottage on Crystal Lake in Enfield and over the course of 30 years with love, hard work and a dream, transformed it into a beautiful haven where they could summer with their children, grandchildren and eventually retire.

Dorothy was an avid reader and enjoyed sitting by Crystal Lake, the waves lapping her beloved pontoon boat, sun on her face, wind in her hair, enveloped in the latest mystery novel. She loved being surrounded by her family, friends and neighbors and offered rides to anyone who wanted an unofficial tour of the lake, pointing out all the places of interest and beauty the lake has to offer.

Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Richard Beauregard; three daughters, Barbara, Renee and Sharon; two sons-in-law; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; and countless nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
