Corinth, Vt. — Myrtle Flanders, formally of East Corinth, passed away peacefully Friday, April 11, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. Myrtle, always loving a good party, celebrated her 100th birthday in January of this year with 25 friends and family at Rowan Court Health and Rehab, Barre, Vt., where she had been a resident for the past three years. She was born in Lyman, N.H., on Jan. 21, 1914, the oldest child of Harry and Maude (Haynes) Aldrich. On Jan. 24, 1936 she married the love of her life, Elmer (Buster) Flanders who predeceased her in 1982. Myrtle was a beautiful seamstress and in the 1940s she and a group of ladies from the …
