Claremont Theater Outfit Offers A New Take on a Holiday Classic
Claremont — Off Broad Street Players will put a new spin on an old holiday favorite this month. The Claremont-based theater company will perform the Christmas drama It’s a Wonderful Life as if it were a live radio show broadcast.
In the show, cast members take on multiple roles, creating different voices for each character.
The adaptation includes the addition of a young family who listen to the story on the radio as they decorate their Christmas tree.
The parents will be played by Kelly Bates and Angel Santos, with Skye Bates and Josh Fontaine-Deth as their children.
The voice of George Bailey will be read by Randy O’Neil. Larissa Cahill plays his wife, Mary, and Arthur Vidro is Clarence, the angel trying to earn his wings.
The other performers include Brian Bevacqua, Kayla Jennison, Phaedra Laushance, Khyli Logrono, Scott Magnuson and Angela Yacono.
The show, directed by Dori Yacono, is set for Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. and Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church on Sullivan Street.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children. To reserve a ticket, call Dori Yacono at 603-504-5929 or go to the company’s Facebook page. — Staff report
