Letter: Taking Offense in Claremont

To the Editor:

People went bonkers when an artist placed a nude painting in the window of a rented studio on Pleasant Street in Claremont. Oh, the psychological effect on our children!

What does this say about the moral character of the people in Claremont?

Yet Gene Grumman remains on our School Board after he was asked to resign as a youth soccer coach for making derogatory comments about 9- and 10-year-old girls on his team.

We owe the artist an apology.
