Plainfield Art Museum Adds Three Trustees

Plainfield — The Aidron Duckworth Art Preservation Trust of 1997 in Meriden recently expanded its governing board, adding three trustees.

Julie Haskell-Webb, of Meriden, is an art teacher and the director of Taylor Gallery at Kimball Union Academy. Diane Liggett is a Cornish artist and vice president of marketing for J.R Liggett, which makes bar shampoos and body care products. Justin “J” Rendahl, of East Plainfield, works in the business office of Dartmouth Printing Company.

In addition, Christine Hawkins, a Claremont artist and educator, has joined the Community Advisory Group of the Aidron Duckworth Art Museum, located in the former public school building in the center of Meriden.

The nonprofit trust was established by the late artist Aidron Duckworth. The Aidron Duckworth Art Museum meets the mission of the trust, providing modern art exhibitions and a venue for cultural presentations. To date, the museum has presented the work of 57 guest artists, 22 shows featuring the work of Aidron Duckworth, and several community events and exhibitions.
