Susan “Suzie” J. Greenwood
Claremont, N.H. — Another angel was made on Monday, February 17, 2014, Susan “Suzie” J. Greenwood, 67, of Case Road in Claremont, passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
She was born in Enfield, N.H. on Nov. 12, 1946, the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Marshall Lassen.
Suzie had worked at Kings Department Store and Ames Department Store.
She loved gardening, cooking, dancing, gambling and playing cribbage. Suzie was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Legion and the Women of the Moose.
We lost our beloved; wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Her spirit will be carried on by her husband, Donald A. Greenwood, Sr. of Claremont; one son, Donald A. Greenwood, Jr. and his wife, Jodi of Newport; three daughters, Anita Dupont and her husband, Phil of Newport, Donna Pelton and her husband, Don of Claremont and Lora Santaw of Claremont; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Lassen and his wife, Judy of Cusseta, Ga., Joe Lassen and his wife, Fran of Enfield, her twin, Albert Lassen and his wife, Dottie of Springfield; two sisters, Frances “Sister” Lassen of Baton Rouge, La. and Linda McKenna of Okeechobee, Fla.; her extended family of many relations and friends from every walk of life.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Constance Greenwood; three brothers, John Lassen, George Lassen and Frank Lassen; one grandson, Jacob LaClair and one great-granddaughter, Hope Dupont.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Greenwood, Pastor of the Mountainside Community Chapel.
Visiting hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral services.
A reception will follow at the American Legion Post #29, Broad Street, Claremont.
