Hanover, N.H. — Laura was born in Minneapolis, Minn. to Marjorie and Blaine McKusick. Laura received her B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota, and then enrolled in the Chicago Theological Seminary. There, she earned her Bachelor of Theology degree and met a fellow classmate, Fred Berthold, who won her heart and gained her hand in marriage. Laura and Fred moved to New York, where Laura attended Union Theological Seminary, earning a Masters in Divinity. Both Laura and Fred were ordained as ministers in the United Church of Christ. Laura served as a minster to churches in Plainfield, N.H. and Chelsea, Vt. Laura passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at …
