Charlestown — For Marianne Peterson, life was to be lived full speed ahead. Whether belting out a show tune in a local variety show, entertaining, cooking one of her signature dishes, selling advertising or organizing and working numerous activities for her church and community, doing things half-heartedly was not Peterson’s style. “All of her life she worked hard and had a strong Yankee work ethic and she was the life of the party,” said her daughter, Elizabeth Peterson. “And boy, could she throw a good party.
