Archaeology the Focus of Fort Talks

Charlestown — The Fort at No. 4 will host two talks in April as part of New Hampshire Archaeology Month. Dan O’Toole, former archaeology technician with White Mountain National Forest, will give a talk on precontact historic sites within the 750,000-acre forest on April 6 at 7 p.m. John-Eric Nelson will discuss the history and current state of the Crown Point Road on April 13 at 7 p.m. The road was built during the French and Indian War as a military supply link between the Fort No. 4 and the Fort at Crown Point on Lake Champlain.
