Marion Joyce Charbono
Canaan, N.H., — Marion Joyce Charbono, 77, passed away Friday August 8, 2014 peacefully surrounded by family in her home in Canaan.
Marion was born in Hartford, Vt. on December 31, 1936 to Wilfred and Evelyn (Flynn) Mayotte who both predeceased her. She graduated from Hartford High School class of 1955. Upon graduation Marion married Earl (Buster) H. Charbono on September 10, 1955. She worked for many years as a unit secretary at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and later as a machine operator at NHI in Lebanon. In her free time Marion enjoyed reading, knitting, crochet, embroidery, feeding the birds and making her famous sweet pickle relish.
Marion is survived by a brother Edward Mayotte of Orange, five daughters, Darlene Belloir, Linda Schwarz, Janice Charbono, Pam Charbono all of Canaan, and Pat Newberry of White River Junction, Vt. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl in 2007 and son Jerome J. Charbono in 2004.
At Marion’s request there will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Canaan, N.H. on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers Marion requested that one make a modest donation to a charity of one’s choice in her name. Ricker Funeral Homes and Crematory of Lebanon and Enfield assisted the family with arrangements.
