Bethel, Vt. — Gary Duncan Wood, 66, of Bethel, died Sunday night, July 26, 2015, at his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Hanover, N.H.; the son of Newall and Barbara (Champion) Wood. He was a lifetime Bethel resident, graduating from Whitcomb High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Delta Psi Chapter. Gary was married to Joann Samalionis in Bethel on Oct. 7, 1972, and had lived in Lillieville since 1973. He had worked for South Royalton High School, Split Ballbearing in Lebanon, N.H. for four years, Cone Blanchard Machine Tool Company in Windsor for eight years, then operated Valley Motor Sales in Bethel with …
