Lancaster, N.H., To Mark 250th

Lancaster, N.H. (ap) — Next year marks the 250th anniversary of the settlement of Lancaster, N.H., and activities have been planned throughout the year.

The celebration will start with a giant fireworks display at the fairgrounds at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.

An all-town picture is set for New Year’s Day. There’s a ball at the Mountain View Grand Hotel Grand Prix on Jan. 31. Big rig day and a dance in Centennial Park will take place in June. Also scheduled is a giant parade on Oct. 5.
