Letter: Don’t Blame the Weapons

To the Editor:

In reference to the Jan. 12 front-page story “N.H. Police Chiefs Raffle Off Guns to Benefit Youth Program” and the various comments about how inappropriate the raffle is, may I just quote a comment I recently read in the Jan. 14 New Yorker magazine: “(Y)ou can never stop the crazies. ... Do you go after Budweiser if somebody’s DUI? No. The gun didn’t just walk into the school by itself.”
