Four More Health Systems Join Dartmouth Group

Hanover — Four more health systems have joined a data-sharing project at improving health care and lowering costs that was started by New Hampshire’s Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system and other partners three years ago.

The High Value Healthcare Collaborative was created to analyze a range of high-volume, high-cost medical procedures and conditions and quickly spreading the word about which approaches result in the best outcomes and the lowest costs.

Its five founding members included Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

Four health systems joined on Monday: Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, Hawaii Pacific Health, NYU Langone Medical Center, and Sinai Health System. That brings total participation to 19 health systems representing more than 200 hospitals.
