8 Dartmouth Students Uninjured In Interstate 91 Van Rollover
Vernon, Vt. — Vermont State Police say eight Dartmouth College students escaped injury Friday when the van they were in rolled over after hitting a patch of ice on Interstate 91 in the town of Vernon. Police say rescue crews were called at about 7:15 a.m. Friday to an area about five miles north of the Massachusetts line.
Police say the van was carrying members of Dartmouth’s Ultimate Frisbee team, who were headed to a tournament in Virginia. The van went off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and came to rest on its side. All the occupants were wearing seatbelts. No one was injured, but one passenger was taken to the hospital for what police called an “anxiety issue.”
