Ice Cutter on the Green

Spencer Chu, a '16, from Kansas City, Mo., uses a chainsaw to carve out the head of a giant dragon snow sculpture for Dartmouth's Winter Carnival on the Dartmouth Green in Hanover, N.H., on Feb 3, 2014. Chu and other students have been working on the sculpture, a dragon curled around a giant throne inspired by the HBO TV series Game of Thrones, since January 14th. They will be working with chainsaws, shovels, and picks to finish the sculpture in time for Dartmouth's Winter Carnival, which begins this Thursday.
