Lebanon — Avante Limousine and Transportation has merged this month with Grace Limousine of Manchester.
“We’re excited for Grace to broaden the suite of services Avante has offered over the past seven years. With over 50 vehicles in their fleet, we will be able to meet every need, no matter how large or small,” said Avante principal Sheri Barnes in a news release.
Grace Limousine is a Manchester-based family-owned business with offices in Portsmouth, N.H., and with the merger, West Lebanon.
The company provides chauffeured car service to the greater Boston area and northern New England.
Avante was started by Tom and Sheri Barnes in 2007 and serves the Upper Valley with transportation to Boston and Manchester.
Kendal at Hanover was recently recognized as one of four employers in New Hampshire for its work in hiring staff with disabilities.
The award was presented on Oct. 10 in Concord at a ceremony at the Currier Museum of Art by Jim Hinson, New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Leadership Award Committee chairman.
Kendal at Hanover has worked with Health Care Rehabilitative Services of White River Junction and Pathways of Claremont to provide meaningful job opportunities to many staff with disabilities in dining and environmental services.
An introduction to business ownership succession planning will be presented by the Green Mountain Economic Development Corp. and the Vermont Employee Ownership Center on Oct. 30, from noon-3 p.m., in Room 204 of the Hartford Municipal Building, 171 Bridge St., White River Junction. There is no cost for this event. Attendees will receive a copy of An Owner’s Guide to Business Succession Planning, and lunch will be served. John P. Murphy, president of Atlantic Management Co., will give an overview of the mechanics of the most common ownership transition models.
