United Way Honors 2 From Upper Valley

West Lebanon — Two Upper Valley residents were recently recognized for their length of employment with United Way.

Barbara Putnam, of Lebanon, is the development and finance associate in Granite United Way’s West Lebanon office. She has worked with the United Way organization for 25 years. Dana Hanson, of Etna, is a 13-year United Way employee. She is the director of resource development for the Upper Valley.

During a recent employee gathering, the women were awarded a plaque marking their years of service.

“Both Barbara and Dana represent both United Way and the Upper Valley in an exceptional way,” Patrick Tufts, president and CEO of Granite United Way, said in a news release. “The contributions they make have improved the lives of countless individuals throughout this region.”

Granite United Way supports programs in the areas of education, income and health. Its service area includes Merrimack County, the Manchester area, the North Country, the Lakes Region in New Hampshire, the Upper Valley regions of New Hampshire and Vermont, and Windsor County.
