Bethel — Spaulding Press, of Bethel, has merged with Jet Service Envelope and Accura Printing, of Barre, Vt. The merger was announced last week by both companies in a news release that noted the consolidation will ensure the future of printing and copying services in Bethel and the surrounding region.
Spaulding Press, which is a full-service print shop with computerized graphic design department, is a second-generation printing company established in 1926 by Carlos Spaulding. The company in owned and operated by Scott Putney, of Bethel.
Jet Service Envelope and Accura Printing was founded in 1915 and has been owned and operated by the Blow family since 1945. The company is operated by Jeff and Keith Blow. The company is a combination of a specialized printer in the envelope field, producing between 3 million and 4 million envelopes every month.
The Accura Printing side of the business is a full-service commercial printing company.
Criminal defense attorney Simon J. Mayo has opened a private practice in Piermont. Mayo spent 10 years as a staff attorney at the New Hampshire Public Defender’s office and has been involved with training other defense attorneys in New Hampshire and at the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Ga. He has argued cases ranging from juvenile delinquency to homicide in front of both judges and juries. Mayo also played professional soccer before attending Vermont Law School.
Veson Nautical , a Boston Tech company, is opening a branch office in the Rivermill Commercial Center at 85 Mechanic St. in Lebanon. Veson, which also has offices in Singapore and London, develops and delivers commercial maritime management and trading software solutions, according to the company’s website. The company serves 6,000 users at more than 200 maritime organizations worldwide, the website says.
The Rivermill Commercial Center is a converted brick woolen mill, with a mix of office and research and development tenants. Following renovations, Veson is expected to open the new 2,800-square-foot facility by late summer. After substantial tenant improvements to the new office, the tenant expects to occupy the new facility in late summer of 2014.
Lang McLaughry Commercial represented the landlord and assisted the tenant in the transaction.
A job fair offered by New Hampshire Employment Security is scheduled for Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Haverhill City Hall, 2975 Dartmouth College Highway, Haverhill.
Employers from a number of industries will be on hand looking to fill positions in manufacturing, retail, service, hospitality and health care. Job seekers should dress professionally, bring copies of their resumes and be prepared to interview.
