Lyme Resident Joins Vermont Health IT Nonprofit
Lyme — Stuart Lopez, of Lyme, has joined Vermont Information Technology Leaders as database administrator and analyst.
The nonprofit helps Vermont health care providers adopt and use health information technology to improve their quality of care. It is also the designated health information exchange for Vermont and the state’s federally designated regional extension center.
As database administrator, Lopez is responsible for providing technical support, including overseeing the development and organization of the nonprofit’s data warehouse, analytics support and implementation of new technologies.
Lopez has more than 20 years of experience in data architecture and software development. Before joining VITL, he served as senior data warehouse architect with GE Healthcare IT, driving the design and implementation of infrastructure in support of product development to address the requirements of the federal Meaningful Use program. He previously worked for Dartmouth College and BRC Vision Care. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Dartmouth College. — Staff report
