Windsor Extends Manager’s Contract

Windsor — The Selectboard last week voted to extend a six-year contract to Town Manager Tom Marsh in an effort to continue a working relationship that they say has greatly benefitted the town.

“We’ve been needing a stable and effective leadership for a long time, and we finally have it, and that’s the real main reason that we started this conversation with Tom,” Chairman Justin Ciccarelli said yesterday. “He’s a huge asset for the town of Windsor.”

The contract, which begins July 1, will raise his salary from roughly $88,000 currently to $97,000 in the first fiscal year. It will jump to nearly $108,000 in the second year and will increase by 2.5 percent each subsequent year for the remainder of the contract.

The board approved the measure 4-0 during its regumeeting last Tuesday. A fifth member was absent.

Marsh, 53, signed on as town manager in August 2011.
