Grafton Budget Vote on Monday

North Haverhill — Grafton County lawmakers will meet Monday morning to vote on a proposed $37.9 million county budget after the Executive Committee recommended trimming about $120,000 from the fiscal year 2014 spending plan proposed by county commissioners.

If approved by the full delegation, spending would increase by 1.7 percent for county operations from the current FY 2013 budget. County commissioners called for several new jobs, including another full-time correctional officer. Among other minor revisions, the Executive Committee recommended deleting about $54,600 in grants to some social service agencies.

Monday’s meeting is at 10 a.m. at the county complex in North Haverhill.
