Letter: Wise Investment for Lebanon

To the Editor:

Bravo to Lebanon Recreation Director Paul Coates for putting forth the proposal to utilize the old Seminary Hill School as a community rec center (“Rec. Director Proposes Move in Lebanon,” May 30). Lebanon could benefit from a rec center located in West Lebanon as an outlet for the disadvantaged as well as providing space to run many of its worthwhile programs, from Camp Kaleidoscope to youth basketball to events for seniors. Linda Preston echoed these feelings well by referring to it as an investment in both the children and adults in the Lebanon community. To us, this is a very worthwhile investment in Lebanon’s future as well.
