For Food Shelves

Food shelf managers suggest the following food items: Canned meat and fish, coffee, dried fruit, dry beans, flour, honey, hot or cold cereals, juice, macaroni and cheese, nuts, pancake and baking mixes, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, rice, soup, spices, sugar and tea. Many pantries also welcome personal hygiene items, including combs, deodorant, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, tissues, toilet paper, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Some also collect food for dogs and cats.
