Offender Release Program Looking for Volunteers
Springfield, Vt. — Circles of Support and Accountability, a reentry program that works with community members recently released from jail, is looking for volunteers.
Each circle includes three to five trained volunteers that help an ex-offender. The circles meet regularly as the ex-offender transitions into the community and the volunteers provide physical, emotional and spiritual support.
The Springfield Restorative Justice Center will have volunteer training from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 1. Meals will be provided.
