July 4 Party in Lebanon
Lebanon — A July 4 celebration will feature a yard sale, pie buffet, road races, field games and dancing.
The yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in front of the Upper Valley Senior Center, 10 Campbell St. It will benefit Spark Community Center, which recently opened in the old junior high building on Bank Street.
The second annual Great American All-You-Can-Eat Pie Buffet will begin at 10 a.m. inside the senior center. The buffet, which includes sweet and savory pies, will continue until 2 p.m. or until the pies are gone, organizers said in a recent news release.
Sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Lebanon and Lebanon-Riverside, it will benefit Rotary’s efforts to eradicate polio around the world. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children age 10 and under. They are available at the door or in advance from Rotarians. Take-out is also available — two slices for $7. For more information, contact Bruce Bergeron at 603-667-8254.
A one-mile fun run and the Red, White, Blue 6.2 will start downtown at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., respectively. The races are sponsored by Lebanon Recreation and Parks. Runners are encouraged to wear patriotic colors. The fun run is free, and the cost for the 10K ranges from $10-$25. Race day registration is available. For more information, go to www.lebrecruns.com.
