Wedding: Shackett — Cole
Canaan — Brittney Ann Shackett and Christopher Mark Cole were married on Oct. 5, 2013.
The ceremony took place in Canaan Hall at the Canaan Fair Speedway, with Nik Palmer, a secular minister, officiating. The bride was escorted by her brothers, Derek Greenwood and Seth Saltonstall. Nora Gentzel was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Shackett, Jolene Jennings, Linda Barrell and Bunty Patel. Kiara Shackett was the flower girl.
Joshua Barrett was best man. Groomsmen were Robert Melton, Josh Parkington, Tom Parkington and Dustin Cole. Kolby Martin was the ring bearer.
The bride wore an ivory charmeuse side-drape gown with a champagne sash and sweep train. Her two-tiered veil was custom made by a friend, Cara Nelson. A candle was lit during the ceremony in remembrance of several friends and family members who were present only in spirit.
A reception followed at Canaan Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Kelly Carlene Shackett, of Newport. She graduated from Newport High School in 2007 and received an associate’s degree in science as a physical therapist assistant from River Valley Community College in 2011. She is employed as a health information technician at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is the son of Joyce Darlene Colt, of Lebanon, and Mark Thomas Cole, of Lebanon. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1997 and is employed as a delivery driver at Allan’s Vending Service.
The couple honeymooned in the White Mountains. They live in Canaan.
