Wedding: Leonard — Vashro
Hartland — Chelsea Leonard and Layne Vashro were married on Sept. 1, 2103.
The ceremony was held at the Barnard Inn, with the Rev. Daniel Jantos officiating. A string trio from the Brattleboro Music Center provided music. The couple rode in a 1939 Cadillac, owned by Malcolm Brown.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Jessica Horowitz, Amelia Kinter, Kristina Huffman and Cassie Bagshaw.
Joseph Vashro and Dylan Vashro, brothers of the bridegroom, served as ushers.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Charlene Leonard, of Hartland. She graduated from Skidmore College in 2007 and holds a master’s degree of science from the University of Utah. She is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Utah and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany.
The bridegroom is the son of Joseph Vashro, of Atlanta, Ga., and Kimberly Vashro, of Minneapolis, Minn. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2006 and has a master’s degree of science from the University of Utah. He is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Utah.
The couple honeymooned in Bar Harbor, Maine.
