Wedding: Christy — Maidana
Lebanon — Melissa Lynn Christy and Jorge Daniel Maidana were married on June 29, 2103.
The wedding took place at The Fells in Newbury, N.H., and was presided over by the Rev. Wilbur Christy, a Presbyterian minister and an uncle of the bride.
The bride was escorted by her father. Her maid of honor was Melisse Hinkle. Bridesmaids were Abby Roberts Keenan, Caitlyn Key Alfaro, Ana Lopez, Kristin Neirenberg and Monica Maidana, a sister of the bridegroom. Alice Ball was the flower girl.
The best man was Felipe Maidana, a brother of the bridegroom. Kenneth Christy, a brother of the bride, was a groomsman, as were Carlos Andrade, Noe Hernandez, David Rivas and Pablo Romero. Nicolas Andrade, a nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
The bride is the daughter of Donna and Stephen Christy, of Lebanon. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 2001 and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of New Hampshire in 2005. She was certified as a chef at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in New York, N.Y., in 2010 and is employed as executive pastry chef at Pure Food and Wine in New York City.
The bridegroom is the son of Elena and Santiago Maidana, of Corona, N.Y. He graduated from National Technical High School of Asuncion in Asuncion, Paraguay, in 2001 and is employed as a restaurant manager at Pure Food and Wine in New York City.
The couple honeymooned at Martha’s Vineyard. They make their home in New York City.
