Shannon Sweeney and Tyson Seely
Quechee — Shannon Marie Sweeney and Tyson Robert Seely have announced their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kathleen and Keith Sweeney, of West Haven, Conn. She graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn., in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in geography and geology from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., in 2007. She received a master’s degree in public health from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at Dartmouth College in 2009. She is employed as an instructor at Rutgers University and as a research assistant at the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center, also at Rutgers, while she pursues a doctoral degree in planning and public policy at the Bloustein School at Rutgers. She lives in Highland Park, N.J.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Bruce and Meg Seely, of Bridgewater. He graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Colgate University in 2007. He lives in Quechee and is pursuing a master’s degree in business from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
The couple plan a September wedding in a garden setting in Woodstock.
