Travis and Caitlin Yates

Plainfield — Caitlin Nicole Pelletier and Travis Emery Yates were married on Sept. 1, 2012.

The wedding took place at the Plainfield Community Church in Plainfield, with the Rev. Suellen Leugers performing a double-ring ceremony. Presented in marriage by her father, Caitlin was attended by Cori Stebbins as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelley Valentine, Bethany Ames, Jillian Willett and Chelsie Bates. Scott Willett served as best man, with Tobias Yates, Matthew Hall, Thomas Cummings and Stephen Yates as groomsmen. Christopher Pelletier and Jordan Lapan Estes served as ushers.

The bride chose an ivory, A-line, floor-length, strapless satin gown with a sweetheart neckline and chapel train. The ruched, corseted bodice was trimmed with rhinestones, which complemented a side-draped full skirt. She wore a cathedral-length veil made of bridal illusion embellished with rhinestones and embroidered flowers. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of sage and eggplant-colored roses and calla lilies with nigella pods, freesia and lisianthus. She wore her grandmother’s strand of pearls, which had been worn by her mother and aunts.

A reception was held at the Fireside Inn and Suites in West Lebanon, where the couple chose a birch bark theme and provided guests with dinner, dancing and an old-fashioned candy buffet.

The bride is the daughter of James and Terri Eastman, of Grafton, and Rosaire Pelletier and Joy Hutchins, of Plainfield. She is a 2007 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 2012 graduate of Husson University with a degree in nursing. She is an intensive care nurse at Millinocket Regional Hospital in Maine, and also is employed by the Patten Ambulance and Fire Department.

The bridegroom is the son of Stephen and Beverly Yates, of Patten. A 2004 graduate of Katahdin High School in Staceyville, Maine, he is employed as a heavy-equipment operator with Louisiana Pacific in New Limerick, Maine.

He is also the assistant fire chief of the Patten Fire Department and is employed by the Patten Ambulance Service.

The couple make their home in Patten with their black Lab, Ranger.
