Engagement: Carter — Draviam

Norwich — Peter and Debbie Carter, of Norwich, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Bancroft Carter, to Philip Rajeev Draviam of Boston, Mass.

The bride-to-be attended school in Norwich and Hanover before graduating from Milton Academy in Milton, Mass., in 2000.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and psychology from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., in 2004.

She earned a master’s degree in nutrition communication from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Boston in 2013.

She is currently completing an internship at Mass General Hospital in Boston to become a registered dietitian.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Richard and Sheila Draviam of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1997.

He earned both a bachelor’s degree in 2002 and a master’s degree in 2005 in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Draviam earned a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College in Babson Park, Mass., in 2010.

He is employed as a senior product development engineer at Codman Neuro of Johnson & Johnson in Raynham, Mass.

The couple will marry this August on Newfound Lake in Hebron, New Hampshire in the same outdoor chapel where the bride’s parents were married 35 years ago.

The Indian Nalugu Ceremony to bless the bridal couple and the Mehndi Party and Dinner will take place the night before.
