Wedding: Schlosser — Giacalone
Hanover — Sarah B. Schlosser and Joseph J. Giacalone were married on Oct. 5, 2013.
The wedding took place at St. Denis Catholic Church in Hanover and was presided over by the Rev. Francis Belanger.
The bride was escorted by her parents. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Rebecca Welte. Bridesmaids were Mary Shank, Krystal Small, Alexis Milano and Sharon Schlosser.
The best man was Mark Giacalone, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Dan Moran, Chris Doyle, Brian Vagnini, Chris Geli, Tom Schlosser and Lou Santiago.
The flower girls were Isabel and Abigail Schlosser, daughters of the bride’s twin brother, Tom Schlosser.
Ring bearers were Benjamin and Noah Welte, sons of the bride’s sister.
Altar servers were Jackson and Robert Schlosser, sons of bride’s brother, Jeff Schlosser.
The bride carried her late grandmother’s handkerchiefs with her bouquet and both the bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquets were wrapped in lace from the bride’s mother’s wedding dress. The bridegroom wore his late grandfather’s cuff links.
A reception followed at the Quechee Club.
The bride is the daughter of Donna and Thomas Schlosser, of Hanover. She graduated from Hanover High School in 1996 and earned a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. She was certified as a hand therapist from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission in Greenwich, Conn., and is employed as an occupational hand therapist at Performance Physical Therapy, also in Greenwich.
The bridegroom is the son of Patricia and Joseph Giacalone, of Staten Island, N.Y. He graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island in 1999 and earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Marist College in 2003. He holds a master’s degree in public administration and is employed as executive director of international admissions at Marist College.
The couple honeymooned in The Maldives. They live in Danbury, Conn.
